We are thrilled to announce the return of Kaden Griffin, whose dedication and passion have made a lasting impact both overseas and here at home. While Kaden was away on a mission in Africa, we welcomed Decker Thomas as our new program director. Now that Kaden is back, he has expressed a strong desire to shift from administrative duties to a more hands-on role, directly serving communities in need. After thoughtful discussions, the Board has offered Kaden the position of Street Outreach Coordinator. In this role, he will lead and organize all street outreach initiatives, bringing his unique experience and compassion to the forefront.

Kaden’s Impact Overseas
During his time in Africa, Kaden played a crucial role in establishing pop-up medical units and ensuring access to fresh, clean water. These efforts have helped reduce disease and malnutrition in vulnerable communities. Kaden described his experience as eye-opening, noting how many basic necessities we take for granted in the United States are lifesaving essentials in other parts of the world.
He shared, “The little things we take for granted here in the states are literally life-saving necessities in Africa and help to minimize disease, malnutrition, and so many other challenges. It was mind blowing and life changing to see the real struggles people face socially, economically, and geographically.”
Kaden’s work abroad has deepened his understanding of hardship and strengthened his commitment to serving those in need. His humanitarian efforts have been a powerful representation of our organization’s mission to bring meaningful change.
Transitioning to Street Outreach Coordinator
With Kaden’s return, the Board recognized his wish to engage more directly with the communities we serve locally. The new role of Street Outreach Coordinator will allow him to lead outreach programs that connect with homeless individuals and struggling families. Kaden will be responsible for organizing and scheduling outreach events, ensuring that resources reach those who need them most.
Decker Thomas, our program director during Kaden’s absence, has been instrumental in maintaining and growing our programs. Together, Kaden and Decker will collaborate to strengthen our community impact, combining administrative expertise with hands-on outreach.
Why Street Outreach Matters
Street outreach is a vital part of our mission. It brings support directly to people who often face barriers to accessing traditional services. By meeting individuals where they are, outreach workers build trust and provide essential resources such as food, shelter information, medical care, and counseling.
Kaden’s experience abroad has given him a unique perspective on the importance of addressing basic needs. His leadership will help us expand our outreach efforts and improve the lives of many in our community.

The Power of Dedicated Service
Kaden’s journey reminds us how much difference one person can make when driven by compassion and commitment. Without people willing to serve in challenging environments, both locally and globally, progress would be impossible.
Our organization is grateful for Kaden’s dedication and the example he sets. His work in Africa and now at home shows how interconnected our efforts are. By lifting others, we rise together.
Looking Ahead
As Kaden steps into his new role, we invite our community to support and engage with our outreach programs. Whether through volunteering, donations, or spreading awareness, everyone can contribute to making a difference.
Together, we can build stronger, healthier communities. Kaden’s return marks a new chapter filled with hope, action, and meaningful change.
