Here is another resource for those in need of warming centers and locations.
As temperatures plummet, it’s important to know where you can seek shelter from the extreme cold. United Way 211 has compiled a list of warming centers across Missouri and Southwest Illinois for the 2024/2025 winter season. These centers are ready to open their doors to individuals when excessive cold conditions occur, such as:
- Wind chill reaching -15°F or lower
- Stagnant air temperatures of 15°F or less
💡 Please Note:
- United Way 211 collects and publishes information on these locations but does not manage or administer them.
- Operating hours and availability may vary.
📞 If you or someone you know needs assistance, dial 211 to connect with a specialist for more information on warming centers and other resources in your area.
Let’s stay warm and look out for one another this winter. Together, we can make a difference! ❄️💙 https://www.211helps.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Warming-Sites-with-KC-1.17.2024.pdf
