There is something magical that takes place when families come together and serve. Here at Empowering Change Outreach and Services we offer many opportunities for families to get involved. One way my family gets involved with our outreach is that one day a week we set aside time that we put together care packages for the homeless for distribution. We also set aside a day that the kids have an opportunity to help distribute care packages with the various adults that volunteer. This has been extremely empowering and beneficial to our youth as they see the struggles that other people face, the importance of serving one another and how serving can impact a person's life. You don't have to put packages together to be involved, or shop for items or even donate financially, although each and every one of those things are greatly appreciated but you can support us also through your prayers and helping to spread the word. Together we can make a difference, and we can do it one person at a time.
